I feel passionately about languages, and how important they are to our children and young people’s futures – setting them apart from the crowd and offering so many opportunities both at university and in the job market. 

I have taught French and Spanish for 15 years, and I take great care to make lessons interesting, enjoyable and engaging – but also teaching the building blocks of grammar in a fun way!

I gain great personal satisfaction from helping children and young people, and seeing the ‘light-bulb moment’ happen. Languages are a subject that many pupils find difficult, and I really enjoy working through the barriers with them.

Working through COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of the personal touch, and I feel my students have benefited enormously from more individual attention that is difficult to attain in a classroom situation.

I am at ease with both face-to-face and Zoom teaching, and I have vacancies for French from KS2 – KS5 and Spanish from KS2 – KS4.
