I am a qualified teacher with 24 years experience as a secondary school teacher and I was also head of department for 7 years.

This last summer's results are very encouraging!

The three students I taught since year o achieved two grades 9 and a grade 8 for GCSE. A student I taught only in year 11 achieved a grade 7; finally, a student whose Mum contacted me as I taught her son in year 11 asked me to tutor her son in year 13 for IB standard, reached a grade 7, the highest grade. He was predicted a grade 5!

I have been tutoring for as long as I can remember... First in France, teaching English when I was a teenager, and French from the age of 23 years old, to adults and teenagers.

In the last 3 years, I have been teaching more than 2,000 lessons online to adults and teenagers and the majority of my students (adults and teenagers alike) are long term commitments as they are very pleased with my tutoring. This is why I have limited availability.

I am a traditional teacher as I believe you cannot gain fluency in French without understanding grammar, but I make it very accessible as I have experience of teaching it to teenagers. The way I see tutoring is that there is no boundary to learning... We can go where the ability of the student takes us. Of course, for an exam course I will make sure that the student covers the curriculum and does past papers, but outside that, if the student is able, I will take them further!
