About Liv Wise Tutoring
Liv Wise Tutoring was founded by Liv Wise, a tutor and university student who wanted to create a tutoring agency with affordable prices and low commission rates so that tutoring would be accessible for all whilst also allowing tutors to be paid fairly. We have a three stage interview process so that you know that your child is receiving the best quality of tutoring. You will receive feedback from the tutor after each lesson and we operate a reviews system so that clients can assess prospective tutors.
ABOUT LIV
My name is Liv and I'm a biochemistry student at the University of Bristol. I started tutoring in 2021 because I've always had a passion for academics and I wanted to help others find their love for academics too. After working for several different tutoring agencies, I decided to start my own as I felt that these companies charged enormous fees, often despite not having any formal interview process. I started Liv Wise Tutoring because I wanted high quality tutoring to be accessible for everyone.
HOW CAN TUTORING HELP?
There are many ways tutoring can help. Whether you're struggling with the content of a subject or your exam technique is slowing you down, tutoring can help you to reach your full potential.
ONLINE TUTORING
Our tutoring is all done online via Microsoft Teams or google meets as this offers flexibility and the greatest selection of tutors. When tutoring online, you can choose the tutor which best suits your child rather than having to go with the tutor closest to you. It also allows us to keep our prices down as we don't have to pay tutors for travel expenses.
EXAM TECHNIQUE
Exam technique and past paper practice is such a big part of the GCSE exams. As well as going through content, our tutors will make sure that your child has plenty of past paper practice which schools may not have time for so that when your child goes into their exam they feel confident knowing how to answer each and every question.
CONTENT REVISION
Knowing and understanding the content of the GCSE is of course an absolute must. The first step to achieving this is having clear notes that your child can use to revise from. Our tutors will go through content at your child's pace, giving them ample time to ask questions and write down anything they don't know so that they can come back to it and learn it in their own time.

All of our tutors go through a rigorous three-stage interview process and must have an enhanced DBS check to tutor with us.
Lesson feedback
Tutors are required to give feedback to parents after every lesson so that you will always be up to date with how your child is getting on.
Customer service
Liv is contactable by both phone and email so you can contact her if you have any problems - no more chatting to computer bots!
Introductory meetings
All of our tutors offer free 15 minute introductory meetings so that you can meet the tutor and ask them any questions you may have before you book a paid lesson.

My year 10 has been working with Liv for the past seven months or so. I honestly didn’t think it would last! My year 10 isn’t very studious but Liv made a connection straight away and we are really happy with her no fuss approach, consistency and reliability.
